Bulvar Samsun has won the “Special Jury Award for the Best Refurbishment Project” in 2013 ICSC European Shopping Centre Awards, also known as the “Oscars of Shopping Centres”, and it has awarded with the “Best European Shopping Centre Honorary Award” in its own category. The centre also granted the “Best Shopping Centre” award in ArkiPARC Property Awards.
Organised by International Council of Shopping Centres (ICSC) and considered as the “Oscars of Shopping Centres”, the 2013 ICSC European Shopping Centre Awards has been unveiled. 12 finalists from 8 different countries competed for, the most prestigious awards of the industry announced in ICSC European Conference which is held in Stockholm on 17-18 April. Competed with projects from Italy and Germany among “New Developments” in “Medium” category, Bulvar Samsun has granted two awards, the “Best European Shopping Centre Honorary Award” and the “Special Jury Award for the Best Renovation Project”.
One more award from ArkiPARC
Organized by Arkitera Architecture Centre every year with the aim of drawing together professionals of the industry, ArkiPARC was held on 10-11 April this year. Making it to the finals thanks to the votes of ArkiPARC jury members, Bulvar Samsun has awarded with the “Best Shopping Centre” award in ‘shopping centres’ category of the ArkiPARC Property Awards after receiving the highest vote by participants.
Aiming to honour both people and corporations that are contributing to enhance the quality of physical environment since 2008, ArkiPARC Property Awards have been given to in categories of Residence, Office, Hotel, Shopping Centre, Alternative Investments, and Mixed-use.
Bulvar Samsun Shopping Centre, realised jointly by most significant investors of Turkey, Torunlar REIT and Turkmall, is an urban renewal project which is carried out along with the restoration of an old tobacco factory that was established in 1897, right in the middle of the city. Opened in July 2012, the centre is one of the substantial urban renewal projects in Turkey.
Offering 45 local and international brands with a GLA of 38,000 m2, Bulvar Samsun stands out with its shopping street, inner yards, open spaces, and unique architecture, as well as its leisure areas.
