The first shopping mall in Dohuk, in North Iraq is constructed by Turks

A new bazaar for Turkish retailers: Dohuk Mazi Plus

A joint venture with an asset value of 180 million USD by Betaş Tema and Yorum İnşaat  is being constructed in Dohuk, containing a shopping mall and luxurious residences.

The groundbreaking ceremony of Mazi Plus Shopping Mall took place last week in Dohuk on a total area of 120.000m2.  Architectural design of residence is made by M&M Project and project development, leasing and management is done by Turkmall. The construction is aimed to be finished in 18 months and cost a total of 180 million USD.  The project will contain more than 120 retail shops, a hypermarket, a furniture shop, a beauty center, entertainment facilities for kids and adults, cafes, restaurants and cinemas.

Turkmall’s CEO Levent Eyüboğlu talked about the project: Mazi Plus will fill out the space and satisfy the cultural and economic needs of Dohuk. We are in cooperative relationship with brands from more than 10 different countries. We are happy to launching lots of brands in Dohuk for the first time. Our aim is to build a market for Turkish retailers in Dohuk, in 2.5 hours distance from İstanbul. Dohuk is ready to receive Turkish retailers with open arms.
